The Cuyahoga Native Sons and Daughters are "shuffling off to
Buffalo" to see the historic Naval Park. There is only room on the ship
for (80) campers, so don’t be left out - only 30 spots remain!
The trip includes:
- An overnight stay on the USS Little Rock Missile Cruiser
- dinner and breakfast in the ship’s galley
- ride on the British torpedo jet motion simulator (3 min. ride)
- self guided tour of all three vessels docked in port at the Naval Park.
They are the USS Sullivans, a destroyer, the USS Little Rock, a guided missile cruiser, and the USS Crocker a submarine. There will be (3) hours of free time the night of our arrival. Stay as long as you like on Sunday touring the Museum, the Artifact Display Yard and exploring the three Naval Vessels. The exhibits in the new museum and on board USS Little Rock begin with the War of 1812 and move forward to Desert Storm. Take a step back in time as you walk through the Artifact Display Yard and see some the equipment and
vehicles that helped change and make history.
They include: a H-1 Huey Helicopter, a M42 Walker Bulldog Tank, a Navy F4JB Fury Jet and much more.
